Effission can be effectively used in a Wide Area Network (WAN) through the use of proprietary technologies like Microsoft Windows® Terminal Server or Citrix® with the following considerations:
- Adequate bandwidth for POS usage.
- For remote access, the following must be made available during network design and installation:
- Static IP address
- Verification of client static IP address
- Firewall protection
- Antivirus protection
